Prosty przepis na chrupiące, pulchne gofry
A2 Polish 듣기 연습 · 표준 폴란드어 · 초보자를 위한 엄선
What do “chrupiący” and “pulchny” mean in Polish recipes?
The recipe promises waffles “chrupiące z zewnątrz i pulchne w środku” — crunchy outside, fluffy inside. “Chrupiący” is the crunch of a good crust (also chips, bacon, fresh bread), while “pulchny” describes something soft, plump, and a little puffed up — babies' cheeks get called “pulchne” too. Together, they’re the two-word compliment for anything baked right.
Swap either word in on its own: “chrupiące frytki” (crispy fries), “pulchna bułka” (a soft, plump roll). Learning them as a pair makes both stick — one is the bite, the other is the give.
