Subtitles in two languages while you scroll (dual subtitles in Flow Mode)

On the board and up for a vote. Every vote moves it up the list.

Flow Mode is the feed the way you know it: one video after the next, no stopping to answer anything. This adds a switch for subtitles in both languages there too, the line you hear with its translation right under it, whole sentence or word by word, so you can keep scrolling and still check a sentence you half caught without opening anything. Turn it on when you are tired or the video is above your level, turn it off when you want to train your ear. Your choice sticks from video to video.

Subtitles in two languages live in Focus Mode today, as the last step after you have listened without help and said how much you followed. That order is on purpose: a bit of effort before the reveal is what makes it stick. But a few of you told us Flow Mode is where you spend most of your time, and there the choice was all or nothing: subtitles in one language, or a tap per word. A beginner learning Dutch put it plainly in a research session with us: the regular subtitles are still beyond them, so a translation underneath would be the thing that lets them follow at all. This keeps Focus Mode as it is and gives Flow Mode the option, for the beginner who cannot read the line yet and for the evenings when you just want to watch and understand.

This might be a feature.

Votes are how this climbs the list, and we read every one.
