Would: 반복되는 과거 행동
반복된 과거 행동을 나타낼 때 "used to"보다 더 문학적이고 회상적인 느낌을 주는 표현이에요. 상태가 아니라 행동에만 써요. "Every summer we would drive to the coast." "My grandfather would tell the same stories every Christmas." 과거의 상태는 나타낼 수 없어요. "I would be tall"은 틀린 표현이고, "I used to be tall"이라고 해야 해요.
